Big bream on the betaine pro
I have been using betaine pro pellet in conjunction with the 12mm betaine pro boilie and sweet corn for the bream and last night over a bed of at least 7 kilo of bait I hooked and landed four at 10lb 9oz, 11lb 4oz, 11lb 6oz and a corker at 13lb 2oz. All were caught at 60 yards on a clear area with boilie hookbait and mesh bag of pellet.
I have four nights next week and hope to nail a bigger one if I can.

Re: Big bream on the betaine pro
Well done Terry, It's good to hear a few bream are coming out and I hope you get your bigger one next week.
I've just returned from an overnight bream session myself, and had rather more modest results but not a complete failure! Fishing method feeders with 'corn or caster on the hook over casters and 3-B pellets, I had a couple at 8lb7oz and 10lb3oz, my 'target double'. Hoping it warms up enough to start tenching soon!
Regards, Martin.

Hi martin result on catching your target double! Bream respond really well to betaine and i have been bulking up with the betaine pro pellet and on each occasion i have fished over it the entire area has been wiped out by the morning. I am now positive they have an edge over conventional betaine pellets!

Some fantastic fish and so congratulations, with overnight temperatures still only 5-8c you get my admiration for putting yourself out there. Appreciate you don't catch them on the sofa, ha ha
Out of interest what do you think is the best attractor for bream in a large water to get them into your area in the first place? Is it a great small feed pellet ( and a lot of them ) ? a powerful smelling groundbait of a strong liquid such as tuna or molasses etc ?
Judging by the quantities you are fishing over it appears a large quantity of bait to hold them does also seem effective once they have arrived ?
The reason i ask is when prebaiting in Ireland the last few years it sometimes has almost felt like we have fed the fish off by putting too much "feed" content in the pre bait and so struggled the following day as opposed to sometimes just turning up and catching a fair few when conditions haven't allowed us to prebait ?
