I'm living on the Trent for the first week. Going down on the Friday and prebaiting for 36 hours before the rods go in at midnight Saturday and coming home the following friday.

Hope the weather improves because if it carries on like this the poor fish might still be thinking about their nuptial activities rather than ready for feeding back up ? In fact has anybody seen signs of spawning fish yet ?

Eased into the season with a few hours wagg'n'magg on the Welland. Managed a dozen modest chub before it was time to pack up and attend family duties.
Back to the tench for a week or two now.
